I wasn't sure what sort of resources you guys would be into, but when I want to know what sort of stuff is going on in the area the first place I go to look is http://www.inliquid.com which is a really good source for events going on in the Philadelphia area. It is a community started by a philadelphia couple (one being a photographer and the other a sculptor I think.) Which often gives the heads-up on lectures & gallery shows. They also have a calender listing of anything they can think of that might be of interest to artists or anyone interested in similar fields. The also put up local, us wide, and international opportunities for artists. You might think, yea... whatever your full of ***, this can't help me. But I have often seen calls for works in technology for shows around the US, and in local forums. So its worth a shot.
