Beam Bot help?

Hello makers,
Well, after several attempts at soldering my beambot, I've finally given up and need help. I originally made a mistake in my wireing and am curious if I somehow "fried" a circuit? I've since tried several combinations but nothing seems to work. I tried to draw up a small sketch as to how I wired my bot. I posted it over on my flickr account (though they don't like hand drawn sketches so if it's not there when you click the link below they probably pulled it.)

Can someone who maybe succesfully wired their bot take a look at this and tell me if they see something I did wrong? I will bring it to the next meeting but I'd like to get it fixed before that if possible. Thanks for any input. I could take photos I suppose but thought the sketch would be better.
Thanks
Jef

Hey Jef,

Sorry to hear you are running into trouble!
I don't have the original instructions so I can't be much help.
It is possible that you fried the 1381 or one of the transisters, but I doubt it.
I will try and dig up an actual schematic for the thing, and if you bring it to the next meeting we can run a little beam clinic.

Josh

Thanks Josh.
I recently got one of the solar rollers and now I'm hesitant to try it until I understand what I did wrong with the symmet.

PS> On a somewhat related note: I plan on makeing a small solder station this weekend. I saw that Bre Pettis had made his own "extra hand" using some armature wire and a block of wood. I plan on doing something similar with some scrap copper wire and a few alligator clips. If it turns out decent I'll bring it to the next meeting (and/or post some photos).
