Does anyone listen to or participate in podcasts? I am always interested in finding good podcasts to listen to on my long ride to and from work.
here is a short list in no particular order
this week in tech (TWIT) - produced by the former members of TechTv. TechTv was my favorite cable channel. The main show was called "The Screen Savers" well this podcast is produced by Leo LaPorte. A nice round table discussion about some of the week's tech news stories
diggnation - another weekly show dedicated to the week's tech news but this podcast is created by the founder of digg.com, Kevin Rose. Digg.com is a social news website where members can "Digg" a story if they like it. Stories that have the most Diggs will make the front page of the site. there is also a comment system so members can discuss different topics.
Lostcasts.com - I am hooked on the show lost on ABC. Every week this group of people get together and discuss the mysteries of this show. I use this show as my escape for an hour or so each week. AH...
2600's Off the Hook - Not really a podcast but this weekly radio show from WBAI in NYC is also put out as an MP3 available for download. While I do not agree with every political thing host Emmanuel Goldstein has to say, I really enjoy any insight Bernie S. can add to the topic at hand.
those are four main podcasts that I make sure I listen to every week. There are others that get thrown into the mix occasionally but for me these are "must listen to" podcasts.
I wanted to know if anyone here has ever participated in a podcast. I have always enjoyed the freedom of blogging but I feel that I could better convey my ideas in a spoken manner rather than written. In the coming weeks I am going to attempt a weekly podcast about things in technology/ moden business society that are painful to see or hear about. Topics like product design and useability are a few of the topics i want to discuss. I would also like to throw my two cents in about management in the working world.
I will let every one here in this group know when the first podcast is up and I would really enjoy your feedback if you could spare some time to come and listen.
you know i do not listen to the make podcast. it seems like everything they put out is a video podcast. I don't know if i am missing something but i never see any audio only podcasts, not for months now.
There was one Make podcast that i really enjoyed. I do not remember who the person was but they were discussing the decison about whether or not to buy a hybrid car. some very interesting points were brought up.
