Makers, have you ever wanted to work together with an artist to make a piece of work that would be viewed by the public? Artists, have you ever wanted to do the same with Makers? Well, here is your chance!
We would like to cordially invite the Make Philadelphia community to submit collaborative project proposals to Flux Space; a new gallery within the productive walls of The Art Making Machine Studios in Kensington. In effort to bring together the technology and art based communities in Philadelphia A.M.M.S. is looking for project proposals that combine the efforts of Makers and Artists to create pieces for the upcoming show TAKE/MAKE. This show is exclusively accessible to the Make Philadelphia community and to local Philadelphia artists. Thus, A.M.M.S. encourages all members to apply. All proposals must take the show title (TAKE/MAKE) into consideration for their proposal. Also all proposals must be a collaborative effort of atleast two individuals with at least one Maker and one Artist. A.M.M.S. encourages makers and artists to submit their collaborative proposals despite the potential lack of the required other. This is a community based experiment; so there is an opportunity to introduce well merited project creators to other makers and artists that they will be able to exchange ideas/skills with to create a collaborative piece based around the original project that was accepted. Here's to working together!
- Proposal acceptance deadline: 12:00AM June 11th, 2007 - Projected TAKE/MAKE opening: July 20th, 2007 - Be sure to include how long it will take to set up / build (the shorter the better!) - No restrictions placed upon size of project. - Send submissions to: takemake@gmail.com
